Thermal Oils Market

Thermal transfer fluids, also known as heat transfer oils, are designed for use in processes where heat needs to be transferred to a production process. They are composed of a base obtained directly from petroleum distillation, and most consist of “paraffinic” and/or “naphthenic” hydrocarbons, to which certain additives are added to enhance their performance, primarily to achieve low viscosities and increase oxidation resistance. The general operating range is approximately -10°C to 315°C.

The purpose of thermal oil analysis is to provide clear, actionable information that enables maintenance decisions, prevents failures, and optimizes operating costs. We conduct viscosity analysis, total acid number (TAN) tests, corrosion tests, moisture content determination, flash point measurement, and residue analysis, among other specific tests for thermal oils.
